Grandhotel**** Starý Smokovec got Trip Advisor award
Trip Advisor has announced the results of 10th annual Traveler's Choice Awards. Hotels from more than 30 countries were honoured in 7 categories. Grandhotel**** Starý Smokovec recieved the award for the category best service - Slovak hotels.
Tatry Ice Master - Kráľovstvo ľadových sôch
Ľadoví sochári z 8 krajín vytvorili na Hrebienku vo Vysokých Tatrách dokonalé kráľovstvo ľadu. Prvé majstrovstvá ľadových tesárov pod názvom TATRY ICE MASTER, ktoré sa skončili uplynulý víkend, vyhrali českí sochári, zahanbiť sa však nenechali ani domáci. Akciu navštívilo takmer 21 tisíc ľudí. Obdivovať ľadovú krajinu budú môcť návštevníci Vysokých Tatier dovtedy, kým „pani Zimu“ nepremôžu dlhodobejšie plusové teploty, či dážď.

Within the project "Vstúpte s dieťaťom" ("Come with a child"), Grandhotel Starý Smokovec **** was awarded the certificate "Zariadenie priateľské k deťom a rodinám" ("Children and family friendly facility") with the 5th - the highest level of friendliness by Únia materských centier (Union of mother centres) after evaluating the quality and extent of the services provided for families with children.
The project "Vstúpte s dieťaťom“ ("Come with a child") evaluates facilities that create children and family friendly conditions.
